Due to the low light conditions of both sunset and sunrise, taking a beautiful landscape picture presents unique lighting problems.  If you are shooting traditional film, you need to make sure you have an ASA (ISO) high enough to deal with the lower light conditions.  If you are shooting with a digital camera, you need to make sure that you overexpose enough not to lose too much definition in the shadows of the photo.

No matter what the medium, however, beautiful sunrise and sunset pictures, whether they are over the mountains, ocean or beach, or just the plains or forests, stir our hearts and make us appreciate the majesty and beauty that surrounds us daily no matter where on earth we find ourselves.
