For legal purposes, “DSA” denotes “Distant Sun Artwork” throughout this document and “you” or “your” denotes the customer.

ONLINE SUBMISSION: Orders may conveniently be placed online through DSA's online order form. (Top of Page)

E-MAIL: Orders may be placed by e-mail and sent to karigk@distantsunartwork.com. Please be sure to indicate payment method, phone number (daytime), e-mail address, and both shipping and billing addresses. If e-mailing and paying with a credit card or with a PayPal account, you do not need to include the credit card information in your initial email. You will be emailed an invoice through PayPal that you can review to make sure is correct and then click on a "Pay Now" button to process your credit card or PayPal account information. Please see the complete details in the Credit Card or PayPal section.

If you wish to pay with either a personal check or a cashier's check or a money order, you must mail your order to DSA. However, please do go ahead and pre-submit your order through either the "submit" button at the bottom of the order form page or by e-mailing DSA. DSA will not open e-mails with attachments. MAIL: Orders may be mailed to Distant Sun Artwork, 54 Bradford Rd., Rochester, NY 14534, and if you plan to pay by money order or check, this is the option to choose. You can print out DSA's on-line order form for your convenience. Please be sure to include payment information, phone number (daytime), e-mail address, and shipping and billing addresses. If paying by check, please pre-submit your order by e-mail so that DSA may confirm availability and shipping charges for an exact total. (Top of Page)

PAYING BY CREDIT CARD or with PayPal : In the interest of the best security we can offer, DSA is now sending its customers a PayPal invoice, via your email address, through which you can pay with your credit card, bank account, or PayPal account. You do NOT need to have a PayPal account to pay this way. (DSA currently processes all of its credit card transactions through PayPal so there will be no change in the actual transaction itself just the transferal of information -- this way DSA doesn’t need to handle any of your credit card information; you can do it directly.)

Just fill out our online order form with all of the appropriate information, and if you check the “credit card” or PayPal” button, we will email you an invoice through PayPal. It will look like this:

Click on the “Pay Now” button at the bottom of the page after reviewing the information and making sure that it is correct, and you will be taken to a PayPal page that looks like this:

If you are paying with your credit card, fill out the section on the left that asks for credit card information. Be sure to include your complete billing address which must match the billing address of the credit card. (The shipping address you put on the online order form may be different.)

If you are paying through a PayPal account, then log into your account on the right and follow the prompts.

PAYING BY CASHIER'S OR PERSONAL CHECKS OR MONEY ORDER : Please make your checks and money orders payable to "Distant Sun Artwork." If paying by personal check, please be aware there is a 10-day hold on your merchandise before shipping or pick-up (and after receipt of check) to allow your check to clear. Returned checks are subject to a $25.00 returned check fee. If you are paying by either a cashier’s or personal check or a money order, then please read the section on pre-submitting your order. TERMS OF SALE : All orders must be paid in full PRIOR to shipping or pick-up. Payment must be made in U.S. dollars, and all major credit cards are accepted.  You do NOT need to have a PayPal account to use DSA’s online order form, but DSA processes its credit card information through PayPal.  Due to limited staff and many complications, DSA  will only ship to addresses within the continental US at this time. PRE-SUMBMITTING AN ORDER: If you are paying by either a cashier’s or personal check or a money order, then you must mail your order to DSA with the check or money order enclosed. However to speed up the processing of your order and to verify the exact amount to make the check or money order out for (due to possible tax and shipping costs verification), please pre-submit your order either through an e-mail sent to karigk@distantsunartwork.com or through DSA’s online order form’s "submit" button. NOTIFICATION: If you have supplied DSA with an e-mail address, you will receive e-mail notification of your total dollar amount after shipping charges and tax (when applicable). (Top of Page)

SHIPPING: Items will be sent Priority Mail or First Class Mail via USPS. (Some special orders may be sent via FedEx.)  As stated in “Terms of Sale,” because of limited staff and resources, DSA will not be shipping outside the continental US at this time. 

DSA's order processing time will vary depending on the volume of orders received, and although DSA strives for a 2-3 business day turn-around time, that is not always possible, and DSA asks for your patience when this is the case. If you need your order by certain date, please order early, if possible, and notify DSA of your deadline. DSA will try to ship your order to meet your deadline in the most cost effective way possible. (Top of Page)

DAMAGE/LOSS:Please notify the shipping company first, and then please notify DSA immediately thereafter by calling (585) 545-1882 (you can leave a message). Although DSA is NOT responsible for items lost or damaged by the shipping company, DSA will do everything in its power to help you make a claim against the shipping company if the carrier is responsible for damaging the items you purchased. Make sure you save all cartons and packaging material until inspection of damage is made by the carrier, and it is a good idea to photograph your damaged package BEFORE you open it. (Top of Page)

RETURNS: ALL returns must be AUTHORIZED by DSA within 7 days of receipt by e-mail. All authorized returns will be charged a 10% restocking fee (to cover the cost of shipping and restocking, etc.). However, DSA reserves the right to waive that fee if it determines that there was poor workmanship at fault, but this fee will NOT be waived on any clearance items regardless of condition. When you contact DSA to receive your return authorization code, please give the reason for your return.  Unauthorized returns will be charged a 25% restocking fee. Returns must be received in their original, resalable condition, and you must follow the procedures outlined below.


DSA is happy to accept your returns (for credit toward your credit card or next purchase), however, to return an item you must:

  1. Return the item in its original and resalable condition.
  2. The items for return must be packaged securely. (DSA cannot accept merchandise damaged because of improper or inadequate packaging.)
  3. The entire item must be returned and complete.
  4. The return must be accompanied by a copy of the original invoice.
  5. The request for return must be made within 7 days of receipt of your order.
  6. The return must have a return authorization code marked clearly on the outside of your packaging (you may obtain the return authorization code from DSA by e-mail)
  7. The return must be sent back to DSA within 7 days of receiving your return authorization code.
  8. The item must be shipped via a shipping company with a tracking number, and this number MUST be supplied to DSA when the item is returned.

Please Note Again: There is a 25% restocking fee for non-authorized returns, and a 10% restocking fee for authorized returns. Also if any item is returned not in its original condition, or more than 21 days after purchase, it will be returned to you and you will be charged for additional shipping. (Top of Page)
